Continuing with the modernization of its enterprise systems, the company embarked on a large-scale ERP transformation migrating from SAP ECC and Deltek Costpoint to SAP S/4HANA. The challenge wasn’t just technical. With around 100,000 employees and operations spanning the globe, Northrop Grumman needed transformation that was fast, secure and aligned with business continuity.

To execute this mission, Northrop Grumman deepened its strategic partnership with SNP, selecting the newly launched Kyano platform as the backbone of its transformation journey.

Designed for speed, flexibility and security, Kyano empowers organizations to modernize even the most complex ERP environments with near-zero downtime. As part of the collaboration, SNP and Northrop Grumman utilized Kyano Crossway, a system-agnostic solution that enables system integration and transformation from non-SAP to SAP.

Due to strict regulatory requirements in the aerospace and defense industry, Northrop Grumman required that all project delivery be executed exclusively by U.S.-based personnel. While this is a common constraint in the industry, SNP’s strong local presence in North America - combined with its global expertise and proven methodologies - enabled seamless execution without compromising speed, quality or innovation. For a company like Northrop Grumman, this level of trusted, compliant delivery is essential when running mission critical transformation programs. Kyano demonstrates SNP’s ability to operate as a strategic partner in even the most regulated and security-sensitive environments.

Results: A Successful Go-live and Trusted Partnership

In January 2024, Northrop Grumman successfully went live with SAP S/4HANA for 70,000 users - a milestone achievement for a company of its size and complexity. This massive go-live was delivered on time, with minimal disruption and in alignment with Northrop Grumman’s exacting standards for quality and resilience. Following this initial success, Northrop Grumman and SNP worked together to perform a Costpoint ERP to SAP S/4 conversion in support of their consolidation journey.  This partnership continues with further plans for ECC to S/4 and non-SAP ERP to S/4 efforts.
