In light of the planned end of maintenance for older SAP product versions and the goal of consolidating its existing system landscape, the Heinzel Group is investing in the modernization of its ERP landscape with a focus on SAP S/4HANA. Kicking off at the start of 2019, the SAP S/4HANA project involved a selective data transformation as well as the migration of existing master and transaction data while ensuring seamless production operations during the cutover. Thanks to the partnership with the SNP Group, the Heinzel Group transferred its data to the new system landscape without any restrictions – successfully modernizing its ERP landscape.

The Heinzel Group was faced with the complex task of migrating data from its older R/3 systems to the modern SAP S/4HANA system without disrupting any business and production processes.

The project

The project “heinzel goeS/4HANA” was divided into several phases, ensuring a structured and effective approach. Close collaboration between the SNP Group and the Heinzel Group, for example when defining the work packages, laid the groundwork for a smooth transition. Based on the technical requirements, the new SAP S/4HANA system was set up with the necessary development test and production environments. Transparent communication on the part of SNP, with regular updates and progress reports, meant that the Heinzel Group always had a complete overview of all information and processes, enabling quick decision-making.
